And I know you will too sin.from teamxbox.com CVG has the scoop on the major features that the Fall Xbox 360 Dashboard update will bring next month. On December 4, Microsoft plans to release a system update for the Xbox 360 that will let Xbox Live users download original Xbox games for 1,200 Microsoft Points each. Among the initial list of downloadable Xbox games will be Halo, Fable, Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge and Burnout 3. The other major feature that will debut with this dashboard update will be Films on Demand, an online rental movie service that will let you watch movies on your Xbox 360 in a pay-per-view way instead of buying them. You'll have two weeks to start watching a film you rented and up to 24 hours to finish viewing once you started watching that movie. Warner Bros. is rumored to be one of the studios that will offer its film catalog on this new service. |

For me, a new ps3 update is supposed to also rock. I will be able to use my psp's remote play anywhere with wi-fi and play any game on my ps3 through my psp. |

REDMOND, Wash. — Nov. 13, 2007 — On Nov. 15, Microsoft Corp. will celebrate the fifth anniversary of Xbox LIVE. In addition, the company notes that the latest membership figures show more than 8 million members are now actively engaged in the largest social entertainment network on TV. Xbox LIVE has grown from a small community of gamers in two countries, playing a handful of games online with their friends, to a worldwide social entertainment network offering online access to gaming, music, movies and TV shows. As friends across 26 countries and nine languages have connected on Xbox LIVE, it is their feedback and active participation that has guided the service to become what Wired magazine recently called “the king of the online arena.” As a gesture of thanks to the gaming community, all 8 million members will have the opportunity to download a free Xbox LIVE Arcade game,* available for downloading between 12:01 a.m. PST on Nov. 15 and 11:59 p.m. PST on Nov. 16.** In addition to this, every active member who joined the service in 2002 will receive 500 free Microsoft Points. Never played either of those, but I can still play Fable and Fable: The Lost Chapters and Halo games that I ALREADY own on my 360 so no point in wasting the microsoft points, lol. |
