However, I'm not sure if I am into the idea of capturing a locust for a shield and then break his neck (although that part was cool). I'd rather have the curb stomp, which is now removed for the hostage mechanic.
I just don't think gears needs it. That is a cool mechanic for syphon filter, or other spy / modern game. This is a science fiction shooter that has intense action, great visuals, and I don't think I want the option to pussy around with a hostage. Still don't get me wrong, it would have been cool as an "option" but to remove curb stomp for it makes me disappointed.
Other than that, my only slight annoyance is that they added a long barrel to the hammerburst. I always liked how it was short, chubby weapon. It's one of my favorite guns ever. Now, it has this weird long barrel extending from it.
Did you notice the new sidearm (5 burst gun) that sort of looks like the one gun from Halo3 (the ones the brute's used)
Those squid vehicles look a lot like the sentinels from The Matrix.

i knew that they wouldnt take it off because its a big part of the game... plus they added more finishing moves

I cannot wait! Yet it seems they're using the same exact game engine as the first but modded a bit. Whatever it takes to get it out on time! And yes. they totally ripped off the spiker from halo, but I don't care cause Gears > Halo.
