I'm in the process of actually getting good at Gears of War and want to make a video/montage of my gameplay soon. So this question goes out to those who have made vids, what should I use to record video, gameplay, etc.? I'm looking to spend around max $70 for it and looking for something that isn't the hardest thing to use.

Thanks in advance!

you can search other threads where I talk about this, but to summarize again, you can buy a package from best buy.  It's from Pinnacle, and I think it's called Pincacle studio movie maker platinum or something like that.  It's $49.99 and comes with everything you need.  However, you will need to buy video/audio spilitters too.  They are $15 each and you need at least 2.

Or, do it Clayton's way, which is cheaper...I think.

Edit:  BTW, mush, can you put this in another category?  All visitors should have access to this thread as it might be able to help someone else.  I don't see that it should be restricted to syphonjunkies only.

no dont do it my way, it sucks and will make u frustrated as there will be lag, making some of your best shots unuseable. Thats why I will never make another vid unless I get better stuff.

To our video/montage makers out there, here's the link to the equipment that I think I'm going to buy http://www.pinnaclesys.com/Public...me+Video/Studio+Family/Studio.htm Do you think that's sufficient enough to make decent montages from my 360?

Pinnacle studio 10, 11, or the new 12 is fine.  But, like I said, you need to buy the version that includes the capture kit device.

Wow, maybe I got it on sale from circuit city, but you can see from this link that the price is higher now.  maybe check the same thing on amazon?

But anyway, this is the device I have that came with studio 10.  I upgraded to studio 11 for a rebate price

Grrrr..... So I'm at Circuit City with Pinnacle Studio 11 in my hands about to buy it and my mom says "No, we already have an older version of that at home". So I don't buy it, get home, and of course my mom was wrong that we did have it. So now I have to wait another couple of weeks until I can go again.
