I noticed we didn't have an official topic for it in the game category so made one. So far GOW2 has 2 DLC map packs and just came out with a patch giving it a new 7 achievements to help incorporate the buying of the those DLC maps and to expand on their uses. Plus the patch fixed numeral glitches like invisibility, shield glitches, grenade tags through walls, the smoke grenade glitches, and it made the shotgun about 2x as powerful to help its popularity in being used so the chainsaw is a little less focused on.

They could not have fucked over Gears 2 online play anymore than they did with their new updae. Shotgun is so slow and does almost no damage, everyone camps with a hammerburst or lancer. Gears 2 is pretty much done being popular online.

Teddy then you must like slow gunplay and complete camping with everyone using chainsaws or hammerbursts, because that's literally all the update did. It also eliminated a huge factor in the game, 2 piecing. It made wall bouncing more sensitive so trying to escape people during combat leaves you feeling like "........ -_- wtf is this shit?" They took the fun out of Gears 2 of what was left from the last update they made. I will give the better ranking system, and new way to select game types props though, its truly revolutionary..... oh wait they should have done that at launch and copied Halo then instead of now.

well evrytime i play there no camping, kiils that actualy makes sence not not like before, n if u go n play gears 1 u will notice that gears 2 movement r faster. i think they did good in the update

Right.... they made the shotgun weaker last update and there was always bs. Now they made it even weaker, and you shoot them like 6 times and you still haven't killed them. That definitley makes a lot more sense

Hey guys, I got my fixed xbox back. I got the new maps and they are pretty cool.

I just played around with solo horde for now.

So, there is no more 2 piece? Even IF the shotgun is weaker, I'm sure it still has point blank death, right?

Gears2 online was garbage to me, so I didn't stay on it as long as gears1. I always said that I hate how you can't pick what map you want (can't play blood drive 100 times without being bored) and there are no player games to search through and/or jump in and out of.

I will probably play more bot multiplayer unless I see friends on.

Currently rocking out Killzone2, Lumines Supernova, Madworld, House of the Dead overkill, house of the dead 2+3, ghost squad, left for dead

Yeah, 2 piece is thing of the piece, unless you can catch someone from behind where you would have enough time to do it. And there still is point blank death, but it's harder to get it now.

I agree with the maps, and with the update they made it more popluar maps show up even more in votes. But I like that they finally split up the game type's.

I've found myself just playing the original GOW these days.

On June 28th their releasing 7 more new Gears 2 maps as well as new parts to the campaign.

I have to agree with Gamerulz. I'm also excited to hear about even more maps and campaign stuff too? Please give me links if you have them.

I played COD4 twice and played a week online. It just didn't win me over for several reasons.

I think Killzone 2 online is the best FPS online that I have ever played. Gears is the best 3rd person online ever (to me).

I'm looking forward to Uncharted 2, because it will have online multiplayer and it should be good.
